The Health and Wellness Division is dedicated to providing programs that promote a healthy lifestyle for the senior patrons of Clayton County through informative, enriched programs and activities that focus on the mind, body, and spirit.

Along with a large array of classes, events, and activities offered at each center location, the Health and Wellness Division is also responsible for organizing different initiatives and special programs in our department.

 ● The Wig Initiative – The Wig Initiative was created in partnership with the Life After Cancer Foundation to collect new and gently used wigs for cancer patients.

The Eyes Have It Initiative – The Eyes Have It Initiative started in 2013 in partnership with the Georgia Lion Lighthouse Foundation to collect new and gently used eye glasses and sunglasses that the Foundation donates to help uninsured Georgians and people of undeveloped nations with their vision needs.

● Lifestyle Management –  The Lifestyle Management program provides different classes to help seniors balance an aray of areas in their life. Classes under this program changes with each season change, so check the latest class list in the Clayton Forever Young magazine.

● Eat Smart, Live Strong – This program, offered at all locations, shows you how to improve your consumption of fruits and vegetables as you explore the nutritional value in them.

Community Gardens – Each center has (or will have) a community garden at their location.
