Date Changed to Monday, March 9th.  Clayton County seniors will be honored for Senior Day at the Georgia State Capitol, and Clayton County Senior Services Department will be recognized for receiving National Accreditation for our senior centers.  Transportation and boxed lunches will be provied to senior center members only.  Non-members of senior centers are invited to attend but must provide their own transportation.  Senior center members must sign up in their center by Friday, Feb. 28th.  Senior center members, please wear your blue accreditation T-shirt if you have one.  Buses will...

February Veteran of the Month

The Clayton County Veteran of the Month for February is John H. Pierce.  Mr. John H. Pierce graduated from high school in June 1968 from Carver School in Hamilton, Georgia.  In July 1968, Mr. Pierce entered the United States Marine Corp and completed basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina. He continued his ITR training at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. In December 1968, Mr. Pierce received orders to Vietnam as a machine gunner.
